If last night’s incredible game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers was’t enough to make you a football fan, perhaps the NFL can interest you in some WWE-style trash talk. In the final play, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman jumped up and tipped a pass intended for 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, allowing teammate Malcolm Smith to make an interception in the end zone. Just in case narrowly missing his shot at the Super Bowl didn’t sting enough, Sherman then called out Crabtree in a postgame interview with Fox’s Erin Andrews. “I’m the best corner in the game!” he shouted. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that’s the result you are going to get! Don’t you even talk about me!”
Naturally, the exuberant taunting lit up Twitter, where the two players offered up a bonus round:
At least Sherman knew to call it quits before he told the kids at home, “I can fly!! Anybody can fly!”
