Representative Michael “break you in half like a boy” Grimm, of Staten Island, knows from saying embarrassing stuff, so we’ll listen when he says Mayor Bill de Blasio “isn’t ready for prime time.” But Grimm wasn’t talking about anything de Blasio said. He was talking about the mayor’s lack of attention paid to Hurricane Sandy victims. “He has to make that a priority and he hasn’t done so so far,” Grimm said. De Blasio visited Staten Island on Monday to talk Sandy relief, but, Politicker reports, “Mr. Grimm was not present and it was not immediately clear why.”
