As the clock struck midnight, we braced ourselves for the annual deluge of dumb internet pranks, but we were still surprised that the first one came from Bill Clinton. In what we hope is an April Fools’ Day joke, the former president tweeted out a shot of himself Photoshopped into the Texts from Hillary photo, along with the caption, “I’m following my leader!” And in an homage to his wife’s Twitter bio, he changed his to read “Husband, dad, FPOTUS, Bono impersonator, 3-piece suit aficionado, Hoya + Razorback fan, meme appropriator.” We’ll take this as a sign that in 2017 Bill hopes to fill the Joe Biden-shaped hole in the internet’s heart.
