Despite a campaign appearance from Bill Clinton and fundraising help from Hillary Clinton, former congresswoman Marjorie Margolies will not be returning to the House. Margolies, whose son Marc Mezvinsky is married to Chelsea Clinton, lost the the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District on Tuesday to state legislator Brendan Boyle. While it’s a blow to the Clintons’ budding dynasty, this may be for the best; as we all know, the birth of a grandchild can seriously affect a candidate’s ability to concentrate on their political career (if they’re female).
