The BBC reports three people were killed and another seriously wounded after a gunman opened fire at the Jewish Museum in Brussels, Belgium on Saturday afternoon. Local police say the man then fled in an Audi. The Belgian public prosecutor’s spokeswoman Ine Van Wymersch told reporters that one suspect has been detained. A second person, believed to have fled on foot, is still being sought. Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo assured that all Belgians are “united and show solidarity in the face of this odious attack on a Jewish cultural site.” Meanwhile, Interior Minister Joëlle Milquet announced that increased anti-terror measures were being taken at the country’s other Jewish spaces.
