Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole came across some interesting data when reviewing the Seattle PD’s first biannual report on marijuana enforcement: Out of the 83 pot-related tickets issued by the SPD in the first half of 2014, 66 were issued by one guy. Writing for the SPD blog, O’Toole said the unnamed officer sometimes added personal notes for the attorney general, and once called Washington’s marijuana laws — passed by the people through a ballot initiative — “silly.” Needless to say, he’s since been reassigned.
