It’s National Dog Day, a fake holiday that we are going to treat as totally legit as an excuse to post cute pictures of dogs. Do you have a problem with that? Yeah, didn’t think so.
Each of these dogs is up for adoption at New York’s ASPCA on East 92nd Street. Go adopt them or else you’re a monster.
Dutchess is an award-winning 4-year-old pit bull–terrier mix who doesn’t like people who wear hats, so she has good taste.
Dermott is a 5-year-old shepherd mix who loves playing with other dogs and snuggling with you on the couch.
Caitlyn is Dermott’s best friend. She’s a 7-year-old Border collie mix and is a little shy around humans, but aren’t we all?
Gracie is a 1-year-old American bulldog mix and already knows how to sit. Also, she’s winking at you. How can you say no to a face like that?
Finch is a 6-year-old pug-beagle mix whose eyes bear directly into your soul.
Indy is a 7-year-old Labrador retriever–whippet mix who can pull off the color orange like no other dog.
LOOK AT THAT FACE. Gary is a 3-year-old pit bull–terrier mix who’s energetic and enjoys plenty of exercise.
One-year-old Bonnie is also a pit bull–terrier mix who’s super affectionate but enjoys her personal space. I hear that, girl.
Brona is an 8-year-old shepherd mix who will “stay on her back and ask for belly rubs all day long”!
Two-year-old pit bull–terrier mix Magnolia is a big fan of playtime and exercise.
