Some Evil Genius Figured Out How to Make Pumpkins in the Shape of Frankenstein Heads

No one other than dads is good at carving pumpkins. It’s just a fact. But a farmer in California has figured out how to Halloween-ize pumpkins without having to actually carve or decorate them.

Cinagro Farms’ Tony Dighera designed a way to get pumpkins to grow in the shape of Frankenstein’s head by putting them in a special mold he created. According to the New York Times, “it took Mr. Dighera 27 varieties of pumpkin — and roughly $400,000 — before he found the right one to take the monster shape.” He’s estimated he’s produced about 5,500 Frankenpumpkins this year.
