Crazy Photos From the Snowstorm That Pummeled Western New York

18 Nov 2014, Buffalo, New York State, USA --- Heavy snow covers the street on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 in Buffalo, N.Y., Parts of New York are measuring the season's first big snowfall in feet, rather than inches, as nearly 3 feet blanketed the Buffalo area Tuesday, forcing the closure of a 105-mile stretch of the state Thruway. The National Weather Service says a foot to almost 3 feet of snow has fallen on areas south and east of the city. (AP Photo/ Carolyn Thompson) --- Image by ? Carolyn Thompson/AP/Corbis

A massive “lake-effect” snowstorm whipped across the Great Lakes last night, unleashing huge amounts of snow on parts of western New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Towns south of Buffalo have already registered up to four feet of snow, and sections of major thruways like I-90 are shut down as a result of the weather. If this is what the next five months are going to be like, let’s all just go back to bed.

This snow doesn't scare me... 😎
