Though Mitt Romney repeatedly insisted that he’s not running in 2016, the Mittmentum has been growing in recent months, and now he appears to be coming around. Politico reports that Romney has been assessing the potential Republican field, and he doesn’t like what he sees — particularly when it comes to Jeb Bush’s work with Lehman Brothers and Barclays, and his private equity investments. “You saw what they did to me with Bain [Capital],” he has said, according to three sources. “What do you think they’ll do to [Bush] over Barclays?” Why that means Romney should run again is a bit unclear, but maybe he thinks America would prefer the questionable business history it knows?
