A U.S. Airways flight bound for Philly was forced to land in Rome on Saturday after a “strange odor” caused the crew to start puking. NBC News reports that three flight attendants were brought by ambulance to a clinic at Fiumicino Airport, while their colleagues and two passengers in need of treatment were able to get there on their own. (In addition to nausea, some people complained of “irritated eyes,” the New York Daily News reports.) An airline spokesperson said that all of the passengers, who were coming from Tel Aviv, have been “re-accommodated on other flights.” The source of the odor has yet to be identified, and no reports have bothered to describe what, exactly, it smelled like, so you’ll just have to use your imagination.
