An unidentified LinkedIn employee rode BART six times last week before being diagnosed with measles, possibly exposing tens of thousands of San Francisco commuters to the virus. Hope you all got your vaccines!
The infected person reportedly rode BART trains between the Lafayette stop and the Montgomery Street stop round trip three times last week. He or she also hung out at the E&O Kitchen and Bar on Wednesday night, which means anyone there between 5:30 and 7 p.m. could have become infected.
The county health department points out that though the risk of getting measles by riding BART is low, there’s still a chance. If only there were a vaccine that could prevent the spread of this sort of thing.
