Cardinal Edward Egan Has Died

Cardinal Edward Egan died Thursday afternoon of cardiac arrest at NYU Langone Medical Center, according to a spokesperson from the New York Archdiocese. He was 82. Egan led the New York Archdiocese for nine years, and was succeeded by Cardinal Timothy Dolan in 2009.
