Everybody has their favorite exercise craze, and NYPD officials are no different. According to a report from the Post, one NYPD boss spent tens of thousands of dollars to construct a Zumba studio in the basement of Police Headquarters.

Deputy Commissioner of Personnel Michael Julian reportedly spent $60,000 to install a “Latin-inspired fitness center” with flat-screen TVs and exercise equipment in a former printing room. Police Commissioner Bill Bratton was so upset at Julian’s makeover that he reportedly shrieked, “That’s not what I wanted!” and had all the equipment torn out.
