On Monday, the National Park Service reported that one person had become stuck in the observation deck of the Washington Monument when power to the elevator failed. Unfortunately, that count was off by more than 60. According to the New York Times, 63 people were actually forced to descend the monument’s 897 steps, one of whom was carried in a chair. No word on whether that person was Ariana Grande.
