The surviving New York State prison escapee was arraigned on Thursday, nearly two months after he was shot and captured near the Canadian border. The New York Times reports that Sweat, who was serving a life sentence for murder when he and his late fellow inmate, Richard Matt, broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility in early June — has been charged with two counts of first-degree escape and one count of promoting prison contraband. Something tells us he won’t be getting out of this one.
