In a newly-released CNN/ORC national poll conducted among Republican and Republican-leaning voters following last week’s GOP debate, Carly Fiorina has jumped to a 15 percent second-place rank, up from 3 percent in a poll conducted earlier this month. Donald Trump remains the front-runner with 24 percent, an 8 percent drop, while Marco Rubio has also experienced a post-debate bump, now registering 11 percent support and fourth-place status, also up from 3 percent in a previous poll. Ben Carson has dropped five points to 14 percent, still good for third place, and rounding out the sub-10-percent field are, in order, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and John Kasich. Meanwhile, the struggling Scott Walker has finished his descent to the bottom tier of candidates, registering less than half of one percent. Looking at candidate favorability, the poll showed a 9-percent increase for Fiorina, while Trump dropped six percentage points. Fifty-two percent of respondents picked Fiorina as the winner of the debate.
