Donald Trump set a high bar for trolling early in the presidential race when he read Lindsey Graham’s phone number on national TV. In an underwhelming follow-up this week, Trump mocked Rubio for needing to consume water, and now Hillary Clinton is getting in on the not-so-good-natured ribbing. In response to the Republican candidates regularly questioning what Clinton did as secretary of state, last week her campaign sent a copy of her 2014 memoir, Hard Choices, to each of her GOP rivals.
She also included this overly sincere message:
A few of the candidates mocked her right back, and took the opportunity to promote their own literary endeavors:
Jeb Bush spokesperson Kristy Campbell said he “hopes Secretary Clinton will have an opportunity to read his e-book, Reply All, when it comes out in a few weeks. The book, based on Governor Bush’s emails while in office, is a good lesson on the importance of transparency in government.”
Wake us when someone suspends Trump’s hat in Jell-O.
