Short is not always sweet — just ask the hundreds of Hillary Clinton fans who lined up at the University of Iowa hours before her campaign event … and only got to hear her speak for five minutes. “It was shorter than I expected,” Nicole Hall, a senior at the university, told The Guardian. “I’m not sure she said enough to convince me to vote for her.” Jennifer Marks, 22, agreed. “There were a lot of statements like, ‘We are we going to make things happen.’ No actual how. I just feel bad for the people who got here at five.” If they thought a performance by Demi Lovato, who Clinton praised for setting an “extraordinary example to so many,” could soften the blow, they were wrong — she only played three songs.
