Police in Paris Just Foiled an ‘Advanced’ Terror Plot

Police in Paris have just foiled an “advanced” terror plot, according to French officials. At least one person was arrested in a raid in Argenteuil, a neighborhood in the northwest part of the city, reports the Associated Press. The building has been evacuated and the area is currently on lockdown. Anti-explosives teams are on the scene.

French interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the suspect, a French citizen with known ties to a terror network, had been in the end stages of planning a bomb attack somewhere in France.

Cazeneuve said, as of right now, there are no direct links between the November 13 Paris massacare and Tuesday’s Brussels attack and this averted terror strike.
