Pastor Mark Burns served as the warm-up act at a North Carolina event featuring Donald Trump and Chris Christie Monday, but he had some advice for one of the contenders for the Democratic nomination. Said Burns, via Politico: “Bernie Sanders, who doesn’t believe in God. How in the world are we going to let Bernie? I mean, really? Listen, Bernie gotta get saved. He gotta meet Jesus. He gotta have a come-to-Jesus meeting.”
Sanders, who is Jewish, said earlier this month that he’s proud of his faith and that “being Jewish is so much of what I am.”
