A Concise Snapshot of How the Deadly Sniper Attack on Dallas Police Officers Unfolded

Snipers opened fire during a protest in downtown Dallas Thursday evening, killing five police officers and injuring six officers and two civilians. About 800 demonstrators had gathered to protest the recent fatal police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, and about 100 police officers were assigned to the event and surrounding area.
