Profile
Many items in the Brooklyn Baseball Gallery were previously housed in the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Fame once located on the former site of Ebbets Field. And though there’s a small display dedicated to the Cycloneswith a scorecard from the inaugural game and the newspaper article announcing the team's namemost of this two-room space is devoted to past glories: bats from legends like Jackie Robinson and Gil Hodges; hats from the likes of Pee Wee Reese and Sandy Koufax; quirkier memoribilia like the LP Follow the Dodgers signed by team organist Gladys Gooding. The Dodgers’ lone World Series victory gets special attention with a copy of the famous WHO’S A BUM! Daily News back page from October 5, 1955, and a replica of the championship banner autographed by famous visitors like former Dodger Ralph Branca, Hall of Fame announcer Ernie Harwell, and The Boys of Summer author Roger Kahn.
ExtraThe museum is available to rent for birthday parties and corporate events.
