On the year’s most portentous eve, this double bill looks to raise dastardly spirits: Headliners Rasputina, fronted by sweet-voiced Melora Creager, call forth Czar Nicholas II's shadowy adviser who was famously stabbed, poisoned, and shot repeatedly before succumbing to a watery grave; opening klezmer-punk act Golem, for their part, invoke a mythical, murderous mud creature whom a sixteenth-century rabbi raised to defend the Jews of Prague.
