Profile
Shoppers inordinately fond of shiny things will find themselves happily overwhelmed by the silver, glass and brass at Hadley Antiques. The tinyabout 300 square feetshop sells mostly English and some French pieces from the first part of the 20th century, including English barware from the 1920s to 1940s that entices with Art Deco cut-glass, sterling and silver-plate trays, cocktail shakers, stir sticks, ice buckets, tumblers and other drink-related miscellany. Hadley also sells intricately crafted Victorian brass desk accessories like letter racks and magnifying glasses, and figurative mantel accessories in animal and human forms, along with a wealth of Victorian bamboo and early painted furniture pieces, from small occasional tables and stools to larger cabinets and displays shelves and an idiosyncratic, charming selection of vintage lighting.
