This venue is closed.
Jodi Arnold opened as a pop-up in October of 2009, but one month into the two-month lease, the owner decided she was there to stay. Although Arnold had been designing contemporary womenswear under the label Mint since 1999, the store was a first for the designer, who says that the direct contact with customers has altered and improved the way she designs her clothes. Mint was known for its playful party dresses, but Jodi Arnold is more subdued, focusing on clean lines and smart tailoring with a few tasteful embellishments, such as a soft cotton T-shirt with a collar of stone beading, or a classic blazer with intricate lapels and ruched sleeves. The store’s white-washed plank floor and abundant natural light make for a serene shopping experience, as well as an excellent backdrop for the up-and-coming artworks Arnold displays on a rotating basis.
Tailor MadeArnold does over-night alterations for freeeven on pieces from her Mint collections.
