Hiding your bra straps won’t be necessary with Marlies Dekkers’s ultra-glam lingerie�these striking underthings are meant to be seen. Dekkers is well known throughout Europe for her opulent lingerie shops, but this boutique in the Plaza is her first stateside location. The lavish interior is adorned with red carpets, black bejeweled chandeliers, and velvet cushions. The wallpaper is emblazoned with Dekkers’s signature unicorn and fairy print, and a soundtrack of seductive European tunes plays overhead. The most eye-catching pieces are the bras, available in sizes 32A to 40F. With names like �temporary goddess� and �starlet,� many of the slinky designs have straps that extend past a shirt’s neckline to create a halter-top or choker effect. Others are embellished with Swarovski crystals and chains that dangle seductively down the spine or between the breasts. Each line is complemented by several styles of matching panties and a shirt cut specifically to highlight the bra. Sunglasses, women’s swimwear, and brightly colored beachwear round out the collection, and a smaller selection of men’s offerings features vibrant briefs (including very European thongs) and shirts. — Jacquelyn Lewis
