This two-boutique affair began in the 1970s as a pint-sized Columbus Avenue gift shop where FIT alum Helena Stuart sold heart-themed items like frames, lockets, and corsets. Now the highlight is Stuart’s own line of slinky intimates, which she has dubbed �inner outerwear.� As the name implies, this is lingerie that can double as street wear--an embroidered corset that can be paired with a skirt, a lace overlay nightie that could double as a cocktail dress, a camisole that can be worn out for a night on the town. The Upper West Side store stocks fine designers such as Vera Wang and Cosabella, while the NoLiTa counterpart carries a larger daywear selection. — Caroline Callahan
