Profile

This venue is closed.

Scandinavian Grace owner Fredrik Larsson is both a Swede and an FIT-educated interior designer, and that background is evident in the distinctive styles of this home-furnishings shop. Danish, Swedish, and Finnish furniture, including tables, sofas, and cabinets, fill the U-shaped showroom, along with kitchen tools and tableware from well-known names like Bodum, Normann, and Iittala. Blond-wood dining tables are set with elegantly simple ceramic plates and oblong stainless-steel cutlery that are as eye-catching as more offbeat items like stemless snifter glasses and platters plastered with maps of downtown Stockholm. Toys, towels, and throw pillows all get a bit of shelf space, but it’s the Icelandic knitwear department that really stands out, with cold-weather duds like sealskin-inspired body wraps and the ever-popular Beard Capan overlong, mustachioed ski mask designed to protect facial hair from the elements.
