‘Have a back-up plan’ warns plaintiff after Texas Supreme Court rejects challenge to abortion law
The Texas Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit brought by a group of women seeking to clarify the exceptions to the state’s restrictive abortion law. “Have a backup plan,” said Jessica Bernardo, one of the women who sued the state. “If you’re at risk for that heart-breaking tragedy, have that money set aside for your need to travel out of state in order to save your life or your vital organs,” she said on Meet the Press NOW.
