Elite Navy Seal Parachutist Dead After Fleet Week Accident

It was supposed to be a highlight of New York's Fleet Week — a demonstration by the elite US Navy SEAL parachute team called the "Leap Frogs" — descending in formation near the Statue of Liberty. Instead, something went very wrong. One of the SEALs was killed when his chute apparently malfunctioned.
