Tens of thousands of Syrians have disappeared since start of conflict

Activist Bassel Khartabil was arrested by Syrian military intelligence in 2012. His family didn’t know his whereabouts and then, years later, heard he had been executed without a trial. His wife Noura Ghazi Safadi now campaigns for the estimated 65,000 Syrians who have gone missing since the conflict began.
