American Airlines becomes latest carrier to announce increased baggage fees

Citing concerns over high fuel prices and increased salaries for pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics, the first bag checked will now be $30, up from $25, while the second will set customers back another $40. Southwest is now the only major airline that doesn't charge for baggage.
