Deported U.S. veterans ask for second chance to come home
Approximately 75,000 American military veterans are foreign-born legal U.S. residents. Even when these service men and women served honorably, they can still be vulnerable to deportation if they are convicted of an aggravated felony. Hector Barajas was one of these deported veterans, until a recent pardon by Governor Jerry Brown of California. Through his Deported Veterans Support House, Barajas now works to help other veterans who've been expelled from the United States.
