Drought has endangered wild horses across the southwest, but one organization is determined to help

When a severe drought hit the Southwest, wild horses began to suffer as water and vegetation disappeared. Working throughout Arizona, volunteers for Salt River Wild Horse Management trekked several miles a day to feed and care for the beleaguered horses. Thanks to their efforts, these icons of the American West are on their way to recovery.
