Sculpture destined for space sparks debate among astronomers

Artist Trevor Paglen designed his “Orbital Reflector” to raise questions about what’s sent into space and by whom. With around 1,700 spacecraft currently orbiting the earth along with hundreds of millions of pieces of space debris, astronomers are skeptical about the sculpture’s impact on space and on their work.
