Australia's wildfires: See how the blazes have spread since December

More than 10 million acres, an area twice the size of Massachusetts, have been burned in the continent's high heat and intense winds.

Swaths of Australia are burning.

Extreme heat and a prolonged drought have fueled large-scale fires across the continent. The fires have killed at least 17 people, including eight who have died since Monday, and burned more than 10 million acres.
