3 people taken into custody after man is stabbed with machete in Times Square

The victim was stabbed in both legs and taken to the hospital.

Three people were taken into custody Thursday in connection with a man who was stabbed with a machete in Times Square in New York.

The man, 32, was stabbed in both legs at West 45th Street and Broadway and taken to Bellevue Hospital, police said in a statement. He is in stable condition.

Police charged Aaron Hamilton, 25, Phillip Robertson, 23, and Robert Price, 46, with second-degree reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration. Robertson was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

The stabbing sparked a brief search for the suspects, who police said had fled the scene on foot.
