Step into the void for a vertigo-inducing view of the French Alps

Visitors to the French Alps are being invited to "step into the void" in order to take in a magnificent — and vertigo-inducing — panorama of the landscape around Mont Blanc. The Chamonix Skywalk, which opens to the public on Saturday, is a glass box perched atop the Aiguille du Midi, a 3,842-meter (12,605-foot) peak, with a 1,000 meter drop directly below.-- ReutersRelated:Alpine observator
