Rapper Lil Baby arrested in Vegas on concealed firearm charge

His attorney said he has a concealed carry permit in Georgia, which doesn't appear to be on the list of states whose permits are honored in Nevada.

Rapper Dominique Jones, known to fans as Lil Baby, was arrested Monday morning on an illegal firearm possession charge.

Jones, 29, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, according to court records. Las Vegas police confirmed he was arrested at 5 a.m. on the Las Vegas Strip but did not provide additional information.

Representatives for Jones did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

His attorney told NBC affiliate KSNV of Las Vegas that Jones has a concealed carry permit in Georgia.

The Nevada Public Department of Safety has a list of more than two dozen states it honors permits from, but Georgia is not one of them.

Jones posted a cash bond at an initial court appearance Tuesday.

It does not appear that he entered a plea based on court records. His next hearing is Oct. 1.
