Police said the incident unfolded just before midnight. It was not immediately clear whether the shooting occurred inside or outside the supper club.

All five people were taken to Putnam Community Medical Center, from which they were airlifted to trauma centers, police said.

Two of the victims did not survive; the conditions of the injured were not immediately clear early Monday. Police did not immediately provide details about the victims’ identities.

Police said the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the state attorney’s homicide investigative unite were assisting in the investigation.

No arrests were reported.

In an update Sunday, police said they had determined there was “no active threat” to the community.
