Three Lamborghinis burst into flames after they were involved in a high-speed crash in Malaysia, officials said Friday.
One Lamborghini Aventador and two Lamborghini Gallardos — worth about $1 million total — were travelling in a convoy of five super cars from Singapore to the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Two other Lamborghinis were unscathed in the crash at 9:55 a.m. local time (8:55 p.m. ET Thursday).
Fire chief Norazam Khamis told NBC News via telephone that the collision on the country's main north-south expressway happened when one of the cars veered from its lane and into the other two cars. He said they were travelling to the capital for a car show.
The cars were traveling at around 110 km/h, which is the speed limit in Malaysia, he said. Khamis added he did not think the cars were breaking the speed limit.
One car was almost completely destroyed by the fire and the other two were damaged beyond repair. Khamis said no one was injured.
