How long have you been doing this?
Phoenix: A little over a year. Before that I lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and was going to school. I was studying classical opera and composition.
How would you describe this party that you throw?
Lamar: Everything in New York is bottle service and tacky chandeliers. I wanted a dirty basement with cool people and live music. Other than cell phones and smoking outside, I don’t think nightlife has changed since when I first started 24 years ago.
