Greenwich Street is raising the bar on downtown fashionable.
Inside the 11-story glass and steel tower, Gucci-loafered
buyers will get a chance to finish off their sprawling homes
(among them a triplex penthouse) any way they please - by
hiring their own architect. Want just one bedroom but heaps
of space for fêtes and feasts? No problem. Need a 3BR
with room for the nanny off the nursery? No trouble at all.
Three stunners are being designed for the architecturally
challenged: kitchens will be dressed up with Sub-Zero and
Miele appliances and Dellacasa cabinets, bathrooms will have
plenty of marble, soaking tubs and Italian porcelain tiling,
and there will be wide-plank oak floors throughout. Add terraces,
Champagne balconies and 50ft walls of glass in most of the
apartments, and you’re living the high life. (We say
the best unit might be the 2BR duplex “guesthouse”
for nearest-and-dearest visits.) Top-of-the-line building
amenities include a spa, fitness center, Infinity pool, wine
cellar, screening room and a verdant garden. From $1 million
to $7 million.

PRINCE
CHARMING
Consider,
if you will, an expansive collection of homes at Highgrove.
With more than 30 percent of the units sold even before the
sales office was officially opened, the Robert A.M. Stern-designed
tower in Stamford - which has two stunning triplexes - boasts
a long list of rarified amenities. These include honed Calacuta
marble countertops, with appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf and
Asko in the well-planned kitchens, and BainUltra thermal air-jet
whirlpool tubs, bidets and sumptuous bespoke English vanities
from Christopher Peacock in the master baths. A state-of-the-art
health club and wellness center has the requisite swimming
pool - but residents can also rack ’em up in the billiards
room, watch favorite flicks in the screening room, discuss
varietals with kith and kin in the wine-tasting room, or sip
cocktails on the rooftop garden (or on their own private terrace).
In addition to the three-plus parking spaces for each residence,
there will be a limo shuttle to the nearby commuter trains.
From 2BRs to convertible-4s, prices begin at $1.1 million.
