Big
things are
happening on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Heralding
a new golden era, Paramount Homes brings you North Beach Asbury
Park - three handsome new midrise buildings that draw inspiration
from Asbury Park’s heyday, with a touch of old Miami

“Asbury Park was an important summer resort, with saltwater
baths and glamorous hotels, and we still see it as a soothing
place to live,” says Carolyn Villani, Paramount’s

As a major player in Asbury Park’s revival, Paramount
has staked out a full block on the north end, smack on the
boardwalk. The first to rise in the North Beach complex, the
8-story Barcelona, will soon be selling its 48 units, priced
from the mid $400,000s to more than $1 million. The building
will feature 24-hour doorman, onsite concierge service and indoor parking.

COOL DIGS
Zephyr Lofts is a cool newcomer to the Jersey City waterfront in more ways than one. The 13-story condominium loft building, full of edgy Soho energy, was originally a refrigerated warehouse. The name is inspired partly by the cool breezes that this suggests, but also by the streamlined “Zephyr” train of an earlier era.
“The building has stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, afforded by the proximity to the Hoboken train station which is minutes away,” says Tricia Cole, Corcoran’s senior executive vice president. According to Nick Beinstock of Savanna Partners, which is converting the building from rentals to condos, Zephyr Lofts is a departure from the “cookie-cutter” units in Hoboken and Jersey City. “We wanted something chic and sophisticated at a reasonable price for a market that’s screaming for more character and flair.”
The lofts span from 800 to 1800 SF; prices range from $200,000 for an open loft with home office, to the $900,000s for a 2BR penthouse with terrace.

SOMETHING’S BREWING IN HOBOKEN If Maxwell House coffee is still "good to the last drop," the Maxwell Place On The Hudson
condos are good to the last detail. Rising on the site of a onetime Maxwell House
processing plant on the Hoboken waterfront, the first of four buildings will have 169 units
(studios to 3BRs). Classy to the nth degree, Pinnacle Limited, in a co-venture with Toll
Brothers, has hired the illustrious architect Michael Graves to design the interiors.
Maxwell Place flows across 14 waterfront acres between 12th Street and Frank Sinatra
Drive. The first building, bristling with luxury amenities like a fitness center and 24-hour
concierge, is currently offerering apartments at prices from $400,000-plus for a studio
to almost $2 million for a prime-view home.
"What sets Maxwell Place apart is its location," says Mary Boorman, head of marketing
for Pinnacle Limited. �Everything is close - the ferry to Manhattan, the restaurants and
bars of Washington Street... Very few spots on the Jersey side can make this claim.�
