NEW BUZZ ON UPPER BROADWAY

Prospective buyers are growing rhapsodic these days about the Rhapsody on Fifth, a new and intimate collection of luxury condos at 127th Street.

“We’re seeing strong interest on the part of those priced out of traditional Manhattan residential markets farther south,” says Oskar Brecher, president of AFC Development Group, which has wisely chosen to spruce up the building, with its lovely Beaux Arts details. The striking 5-story brick and limestone structure was once a meeting hall for Harlem’s Finnish community, later a Gospel Temple Church.

Studios and 1 and 2 BR residences will be offered at $400,000 and up. Scheduled for initial occupancy next March, Rhapsody will open an off-site sales office at Fifth and 125th in the heart of this booming, second Harlem renaissance.
