YOUR
BLUE HEAVEN
Aqua,
a smashing 7–story condo building, is about to
make a big splash on McCarren Park in Williamsburg.
The largest new development in the area, Aqua has blue
aluminum in its façade and faces the now–empty
McCarren Park Pool, one of the largest swimming pools
in the world in the 1970s, which was used this past
summer as an arts and performance venue. The building
is one of the prime locations in Williamsburg, what
with its open views (all the way to Manhattan) assured
by its proximity to the park. No small lure, McCarren
Park has lately been upgraded with a new running track,
soccer field, renovated fitness training course, dog
run handball and bocce courts. Designer Andres Escobar
has executed a modern, high–style lobby. The sleek
condos come in all sizes––studios, 1–
and 2–bedrooms, 1–bedroom duplexes, and
1– and 2–bedroom lofts with 20–foot
ceilings. Prices run from $369,000 to almost $1 million.
