A
STORY TO TELL
Designed
by the award-winning architect Stephen Alton, the Clement Clarke
at 140 W. 22nd St. is now showing off its well-designed studios,
one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes, including duplex penthouses.
Ranging from 535 to 2,500 square feet, quite a few have home offices—and
some have fireplaces and private outdoor space. Ceilings soar to
11 feet and wide-plank American walnut floors are everywhere. Kitchens
are beautifully styled and feature top-of-the-line appliances from
Sub-Zero, Miele and Sharp, including washers/dryers—and the
Italian custom-designed Cucine teak cabinetry is topped off in crystal
white stone cast glass. Roomy master baths have imported limestone
walls and floors, dark oak custom vanities topped with marble and
oversized rain shower heads. Select units have enormous soaking
tubs, separate shower stalls, and double-sink vanities. A residential
lounge and roof deck are two of the building’s noteworthy
amenities. From the mid-$600,000s. OCCUPANCY MID-2008.
