Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, known for working with clients such as Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry, has died, his family announced. He was 34.
Family members announced the news on Guerrero's Instagram Story on Sunday.
“Our family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support during this hard time," the post read alongside a photo of Guerrero sitting at a beach. "Jesus was the brightest light, we have never doubted that he touched the hearts and lives of everyone he came across.”
“We have fallen into tears repeatedly reminiscing and wondering what we could of done different to still have him with us,” the family added.
Guerrero's cause of death was not announced.
His sister Gris, 26, launched a GoFundMe page following the news to help with expenses.
"Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly," Gris said. "Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston."
As of Monday, the fundraising page as surpassed its $80,000 goal and has reached $96,000.
Kylie Jenner shared an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, describing Guerrero as "a light in my life."
"The pain of losing you is just unbearable and i don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love," Jenner said. "and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist."
"I’ll cherish all our moments together. every laugh and hug. I wish I could hug you again," she added. "I laid in your bed the way you used to lay in mine, talking for hours. I would give anything for one more deep talk."
Kim Kardashian posted a photo of her glam team on her Instagram Story on Monday, paying tribute to Guerrero.
"Our great respect for the art of hair and make up has lead us to meeting some of the kindest souls and made some of our bestest friends," Kim Kardashian said. "So when one of our glam family members passes away all of our souls are crushed. My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who loved Jesus the way we all did."
Khloe Kardashian echoed her sister's post on her Instagram Story in a repost.
"I couldn't find the words this weekend but this is exactly how we all feel. We become a family with our glam teams, and we share so much of our lives with them," Khloe Kardashian said. "We are also in intertwined and in love with one another. This is such an incredible deep loss."
Fellow hairstylist Jen Atkin also took to Instagram on Monday to share fond memories of mentoring Guerrero.
"He had the ability to make the whole room feel the warmth of his presence and giggle at his playful antics- all while casually creating hair ART," Atkins said. "It’s not surprising to see so so many souls sharing stories of their love for him and his work."
"May we always speak of his smile, his talent, his spirit, his heart. May we tell people we love them, light up the room, and give Jesus type bear hugs," she added.
Representatives for Guerrero did not immediately respond to an NBC News request for comment.
