Country music singer Scotty McCreery stopped a recent concert mid-show at the Colorado State Fair after a man allegedly hit a woman in the crowd, according to video posted on social media.
McCreery, a former "American Idol" winner, was performing "It Matters to Her," which he said he wrote for his wife, when he abruptly halted the show in Pueblo.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Right here. Right here," he said in a video a concertgoer shared Sunday on Facebook. "That's a lady you just hit, sir. Absolutely not. Who just hit the lady?"
He then called for security and police.
"Is she OK? Get the heck out of here," he said, calling what happened "absolutely unacceptable."

Fair officials confirmed the assault happened and asked that anyone with video share it with its security team.
"Colorado State Fair security assisted with crowd control. This incident is still under investigation and we cannot comment further," Olga Robak, director of communications for the state Agriculture Department, said in an emailed statement.
A representative for McCreery, who won Season 10 of the singing competition show, did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.
